Are you tired of countless hours of manual data entry of bank account and credit card transactions?
I know I would be!
Here's some good news...
You can import transactions into QuickBooks Desktop to save time and energy.
Heres How!
Open a web browser to login to your bank and then download transactions in a .QBO format. This is the only format compatible with QuickBooks Desktop to import transactions.
Keep in mind that .QBO formats are normally only available to business checking and business credit card accounts, not personal. If your bank does not have an option for .QBO format, try downloading a .QFX file.
Then you can utilize the free converter (only works if opened in Chrome) to convert the .QFX file to .QBO file. When you access the link, be sure to check mark the box for advanced and type in the numbers 11162 regardless of the year of QuickBooks that you have. Here is the link :
If you are connected via bank feeds, you will not be able to import the .QBO file. You would need to disconnect the bank feed prior to importing. Here is an Intuit article on the basics of importing bank feeds into QuickBooks Desktop:

You can also connect your bank or credit card to automatically bring in transactions, also known as Direct Connect or Web Connect. Most Banks do not charge a fee for this connection, but just call your bank to confirm. Make sure to mention this is QuickBooks Desktop software and not QuickBooks Online through the web browser.
